Aside from the apparent dark tone of the trailer (&#8220;Is this <em>Atlanta <\/em>or <em>American Horror Story<\/em>?&#8221; a fan writes), there\u2019s absolutely no telling regarding what is to come\u2013\u2013but the intrigue is palpable.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Season three was primarily filmed in Europe. As a refresher, the 2018 second season ended with Earn, Paper Boi, and Darius boarding a flight for an International tour. The show\u2019s delay was initially due to the cast\u2019s busy schedules, and the setback was extended due to the pandemic. However, this pause allowed for prime and efficient writing time.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>\u201cOne of the things that\u2019s been kind of an unexpected boon from COVID-19 was that writers have had a lot of time to write,\u201d said FX president John Landgraf last year. \u201cDonald Glover and his intrepid team of partners have written everything for Season 3 and 4, with the intent to shoot them all at one time, essentially back to back.\u201d<em>Atlanta <\/em>was created by Donald Glover and produced by FX Productions.
