This Valentine\u2019s Day, a charming and intimate portrayal of Black love is on the way. In what appears to be the dreamiest pairing, Lakeith Stanfield and Issa Rae have joined forces for Universal\u2019s upcoming film <\/span>The Photograph<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Written and directed by Stella Meghie (<\/span>The Weekend<\/span>), her latest project centers on a young woman, Mae (Rae), who unravels the complex past of her estranged and recently deceased mother after finding a box filled with her cherished belongings \u2013 including a vintage photograph of her mother with a former lover. This curious photo leads Mae on a journey delving into her mother\u2019s early life, and finds romance with a rising journalist, Michael (Stanfield), along the way.<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n In the first trailer, there\u2019s wine sipping, sensuality, smooth talking, and a genuine connection. We also become briefly acquainted with Mae\u2019s mother\u2019s love story, which is apparently mirrored in her relationship with Michael. As a side note, Issa Rae looks absolutely <\/span>phenomenal<\/span> in yellow, which contributes to the warm tone of the trailer.
