Winborne and PVIFF\u2019s co-founder Len Gibson have a brief conversation with the executive producers and cast of EPIX\u2019 new series, <\/b><b><i>Godfather of Harlem<\/i><\/b><b>. Featuring the series\u2019 producers James Acheson and Markuann Smith, along with cast members Antoinette Crowe-Legacy and Nigel Thatch, the group shares their journey in developing the show.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Inspired by true events, the series\u2019 synopsis reads as follows:\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>&#8220;<\/b><b><i>Godfather of Harlem<\/i><\/b><b> reimagines the story of infamous crime boss Bumpy Johnson (Forest Whitaker), who in the early 1960s returned from a decade in prison to find the neighborhood he once ruled in smables. The series brings to life the story of one of America\u2019s most notorious African-American mobsters as he fights to reclaim his neighborhood.&#8221;<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Aside from detailing the journey and the characters they portray, the cast shares their future plans, including hopeful preparation for a second season.\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b><i>Godfather of Harlem\u2019s<\/i><\/b><b> producer Markuann Smith will attend Atlanta\u2019s Peachtree Village International Film Festival (PVIFF), which is set for October 24th to 27th.<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Head over to <a href=\"https:\/\/jaromedia.watchjaro.com\/title\/s206-meet-the-cast-of-godfather-of-harlem\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">JARO&#8217;s Podcast<\/a> to listen today.
