The role fits Mon\u00e1e well, as she is a vocal activist for social justice and equal rights, which also shines through her music. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>Based on Steinem\u2019s 2015 memoir <\/b><b><i>My Life on the Road<\/i><\/b><b>, <\/b><b><i>The Glorias<\/i><\/b><b> will center on Steinem\u2019s journey as an activist for equal rights, along with her pioneering work as a campaigner and journalist. <\/b><b>Julie Taymor will direct the biopic, and Steinem herself along with Amy Richards will executive produce. <\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>In 2016, Janelle Mon\u00e1e made her movie debut in Barry Jenkin\u2019s award-winning film <\/b><b><i>Moonlight<\/i><\/b><b>. She then starred in the critically acclaimed <\/b><b><i>Hidden Figures <\/i><\/b><b>alongside Taraji P.
