(<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=zNTNbNtft9g\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Suede<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u201d \u00a0In other moments, he drops some hard truths about his family dynamics: \u201cYou mom\u2019s in prison \/ Your father needs a new kidney \/ Your family\u2019s splitting, rivalries between siblings (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=y_Ka5wiQBEw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Season\/ Carry Me<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u201d And sometimes, he just simply likes to have fun: \u201cI been broke way longer than I been rich, so until it levels out \/ Ima take your momma to the Marriott and wear it out (<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=7PmUtmfTmbg\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Bubblin<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">).\u201d \u00a0Whatever the case may be, there is no doubting his skills and his dynamism. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>2. By fusing the old school sounds of funk and hip hop with today\u2019s pop, r&amp;b, electronica, and trap, Paak generates a sound that is both nuanced and universal.\u00a0 He can reach a wide array of audiences, which is not an easy task. His range in ridiculous. Not only is he a rapper\/singer but he also holds his own as a drummer, writer, and producer. Translation: Paak is a music powerhouse. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>3. After at least an hour on stage, jumping between the center and the drums, he left, tossing his sticks into the audience (Unfortunately, I was not able to catch them).\u00a0<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>4. While enduring the slow build proved trying, it has steeled him as artist. \u00a0His steady climb sharpened his skills so that his entrance in the spotlight is sustainable. Translation: Paak&#8217;s no one&#8217;s one-hit wonder. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>5. Perhaps this is symbolic of Paak himself. \u00a0Or maybe it\u2019s just a dope ass graphic concept. <\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2><b>6. Paak reveals that it is his collaborative nature that helps him produce his own sound and feeds his own work. \u00a0In addition to citing those big names, he mentions that within the Aftermath camp, he has been working with a lot of black women writers, rappers, and producers.
