Each night, different performers will take the stage. Michelle Wilson will join Bassett and Common on April 2<sup>nd<\/sup>, and Pauletta Washington will accompany Watson on April 3<sup>rd<\/sup>.<\/p>\n<p>Considered one of the most imperative novels about race in America,<em> Between the World and Me <\/em>is written as a letter to Coates\u2019 adolescent son about understanding what it means to be black in America. In the intimate and profound letter, the author addresses his personal experiences, our nation\u2019s bruised history, and today\u2019s crisis of wrongful murders and imprisonment in the black community.<\/p>\n<p>Grammy-nominated jazz pianist and composer Jason Moran will provide music for the program, which will be managed by Apollo\u2019s exec producer, Kamilah Forbes.
