Out of 13,468 submissions, the curated 110 films span across 29 distinct countries, with 47 being from first-time filmmakers. This year, Sundance\u2019s lineup is rich with diversity and bold, authentic storytelling that is reflective of modern-day concerns. Below, we\u2019ve compiled a categorized list of films featuring and\/or created by people of color:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span style=\"color: #f66848;\"><strong>DRAMATIC COMPETITION<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><em><strong>Monsters and Men<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>\/ U.S.A. (Director and screenwriter: Reinaldo Marcus Green, Producers: Elizabeth Lodge Stepp, Josh Penn, Eddie Vaisman, Julia Lebedev, Luca Borghese) \u2014 This interwoven narrative explores the aftermath of a police killing of a black man.
