artist?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Syreeta Thompson:<\/strong> Legacy In Motion was inspired by my journey as a trumpeter transitioning from coming from the Gospel music industry to primarily jazz. This is my first full Jazz\/fusion album.<\/p>\n<p><strong>When did the vision for this project first take shape, and how long did it take to bring it to life?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Syreeta Thompson:<\/strong> This body of work took shape during filming my current body of work, Blow Yo Horn Making Music Man&#8217;s World Docu series. This body of work has taken five years to complete. It blends my gospel, jazz, and pop roots.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Where were you, mentally, emotionally, or even geographically, when you created this body of work?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Syreeta Thompson:<\/strong> Mentally, I was in a place of wanting to share my craftsmanship as an artist. Emotionally, I was in a place where I wanted to expand artistry. I created this body of work in the New York City Area.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Why do you feel this project is important right now, and what do you hope listeners take away from it?<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Syreeta Thompson:<\/strong> This project is important for various reasons. One reason the world needs music and the creation of good music. Music meets humanistic needs oppose to the strife that were experiencing.
