Jackson has landed his first major television series role, according to an exclusive report by <a href=\"https:\/\/deadline.com\/2017\/07\/samuel-l-jackson-star-old-man-drama-series-jon-steinberg-warren-littlefield-fox-21-tv-studios-1202137852\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Deadline.<\/a><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Jackson will star in\u00a0<em>Old Man<\/em>, a thriller series that is based on the book\u00a0<em>The Old Man\u00a0<\/em>by the Award-winning author Thomas Perry.\u00a0<em>Old Man<\/em>\u00a0centers on widower Dan Chase (Samuel L. Jackson), an average retiree carrying a deep, dark secret. For thirty-five years, Chase has been on the run following his involvement as a young army intelligence expert in a malformed operation in Libya. Finally beginning to believe he\u2019s in the clear, Chase is in for a rude awakening.<\/p>\n<p>So far, the series has been pitched to TNT, FX, HBO, Showtime, and even streaming platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon.
