Issa Rae is dedicated to providing emerging filmmakers with the resources and guidance they need to thrive. Through a collaboration with Tubi and Rae\u2019s management and production company ColorCreative, three creatives will be granted the title of Stubiorunners. They will participate in the Stubios program, which is described as a fan-driven studio and viewer-centric platform for aspiring filmmakers and their fans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
As explained in a press statement,\u201cStubios passes the camera to anyone who has a story to tell and puts the power to greenlight in the hands of the viewer.\u201d The projects are scheduled to go live on the app this month.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The stubiorunners will receive support on their scripts, one-on-one mentor calls with Issa, and creative production assistance from ColorCreative.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Films and series that were developed from the program will be distributed and promoted on Tubi. Participants will be given an executive producer credit and earn a flat fee for their original IP and the work on the project.Submissions are currently open.
